Ohau School

Ohau School is an average sized full rural primary school with a growing roll and stable staffing.

It is organised to make best use of staff strengths and to allow flexibility in the placement of pupils.

The experienced staff, aim to provide children with the best possible learning/teaching programmes and involve the use of all allied agencies in helping meet the needs of the children.

Our school environment is attractive and well maintained with the nearby domain, hall, pavilion and river as advantageous facilities.

Parents, caregivers and other interested persons are involved in a wide range of school activities and support our school in its programmes and philosophies.

Bell Times
Monday to Friday
8.50am – 11.00am, 11:30am – 12.30pm, 1.15pm – 2.40pm.

We also have healthy eating break at 10:00am.

It is expected that children will be at school by 8:45am for the first bell. Children who go home for lunch must obtain permission from the classroom teacher.

Assembly
Assemblies are held each week on a Friday afternoon at 2.00pm. Assemblies are an opportunity for classes to share their learning and celebrate success. Certificates are presented each week for students of the week and sports awards. Parents are welcome to attend.

Visitors to the School
We welcome all visitors to the school but ask that all visitors report to the school office. This is a security strategy.
